Mary Sheean decided to become a yoga teacher “because I wanted to share the joy my practice brings me.” She is certified at the advanced level, 500-hr, in Kripalu yoga and has been teaching since 2003. “I like Kripalu yoga because it focuses on the breath for opening the heart and for centering into our own self, to grow from there.” She has also studied Iyengar and Anusara yoga. Her classes combine the ancient yogic practices of pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation and postures, allowing overall feelings of peacefulness in body, mind and spirit. “With this play we learn how to bring yoga into our every day lives.”
The 4th Friday of every month we go to tea after class.
Mary offers private sessions for breathing techniques and for alignment concerns that come up in yoga practice.
